Jay-Z is selling tickets for his Carnegie Hall charity concert which benefits The United Way. The rapper is making history as the first hip hop artist to perform at the prestigious venue. Here is information from the official release. Binside TV attended the press conference when Jay-Z announced the charity benefit concerts. Jay-Z told the press that the tickets would be priced at higher prices to discourage ticket scalpers.

FEBRUARY 6 & 7, 2012
In his most intimate performances in years, Shawn “JAY Z” Carter will headline at Carnegie Hall, in the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, raising millions for United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation on February 6, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. and February 7, 2012 at 9:30 p.m.
